SRU’s McComas receives honorLEXINGTON, Ky. — The Slippery Rock University sports information director Bob McComas have been honored with the American Volleyball Coaches Association’s Atlantic Region Grant Burger Media Award.The award recognizes members of the media who have been involved in the advancement of the sport.McComas has served an integral role in promoting and securing sponsorships for the annual Dig For The Cure Match, which raises money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to battle breast cancer.He also is responsible for setting the broadcast schedule that sees a majority of the Rock’s home games being streamed live throughout the season.
