Chec still tops tourney
With four weekends remaining, Brian Chec of the Greater Pittsburgh Bowling Association continues to hold a sizable lead in all-events at the 73rd annual Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Tournament.
Chec, who has bowled in leagues in Butler County, has a 2,271 all-events score, 42 pins more than current runner-up Josh Malanoski, also from Greater Pittsburgh.
Pam VanOstenbridge rolled the lone perfect game last weekend. Two other bowlers — Garth Wilson and Adam Lombardi — had to settle for 299.
The tourney runs through June 17 at Butler’s Family Bowlaway and Zelienople’s Freeway Lanes.
Registration is available through June 1.
