Mike Jeffreys and Nick Schreiber combined for a no-hitter as Mars blanked Freeport 13-0 in five innings in Eagle County League baseball action Friday evening.

Jeffreys struck out eight in four innings of work to pick up the won. Schreiber worked a perfect fifth, striking out one, to complete the no-hitter.

Nate Statzer homered and drove in three runs to lead Mars’ 13-hit attack.

Paul Westwood also had a triple and two RBI.

• Josh Smith had a single, double and RBI while Steve Hall added a pair of hits and an RBI to lead Saxonburg past the Legacy Lions 4-2.

Winning pitcher Eric Richards and Andy Fritz also contributed a single and RBI apiece.

Lamont and Bishop had doubles for the Lions.
