Wilhelmina A. ‘Billie' Clouse, 86, of North Oakland, Chicora, died unexpectedly at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Oakland Township, Feb. 8, 1926, the daughter of the late Floyd D. and Anne Placide O'Donnell Bracken.

She attended grades 1 to 8 in the Weaver One-Room School in North Oakland, Chicora. She graduated from Butler High School in 1944, followed by Mercy School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, where she graduated in 1947. After graduation she worked as a registered nurse at the Butler Memorial Hospital for more than 40 years.

A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she liked gardening, reading, playing cards and spending time with her friends and family.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland and the Christian Mothers of the church. She was very active in the church where she served as a Eucharistic minister.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen A. Clouse, who she married May 18, 1948; daughters, Margaret Salyers and her husband, Paul, of Chicora, Amy MacDonald and her husband, John, of Nassau, N.Y., and Emily Konar and her fiance, Jason Malis, of Chicora; son, Gerard Clouse of Chicora; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Paul Heller of Chicora.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhondae Heller; two sons, Kenneth and Daniel Clouse; and a great-grandson, Dalton Heller.

<B>CLOUSE </B>— Friends of Wilhelmina A. ‘Billie' Clouse, who died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora.A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with a funeral Mass at the Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Rev.
