Theresa M. “Sue” James, 83, of Buffalo Township passed away peacefully at 2:15 p.m. Thursday at the Harmar Village Care Center in Cheswick.

Sue was born in Sarver on Aug. 22, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Anna D. (Kelly) and Harry A. Gallagher.

She also was the widow of Leslie M. “Les” James, who passed away in 2010.

Sue was a wonderful homemaker, who enjoyed needle work, crafting and bingo. She loved to watch and cheer for the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon M. (Richard) Wheeler of Freeport and Dianne M. (James) Michael of Buffalo Township; a granddaughter, Jennifer Dianne Michael of Pittsburgh; a brother Leroy (Christine) Gallagher of Buffalo Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Harry A. Gallagher.

JAMES — Family and friends of Theresa M. “Sue” James, who died Thursday, May 17, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High St., Freeport. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Father Edward Volz of St. Mary’s Mother of God Church in Freeport officiating.
