Chec leads way at state tourney

Brian Chec continues to lead the way in the 73rd annual Pennsylvania State Bowling Association Tournament.

Chec, a Greater Pittsburgh Bowling Association member, is atop the All Events Scratch division and is tied with Corey Balog — who’s also of Greater Pittsburgh — for the No. 1 spot in the All Events Handicapped division.

The tournament takes place on weekends through June 17 at Family Bowlaway in Buter and Freeway Lanes in Zelienople. Bowlers can register for the tournament until June 1.
