Charles Guy Parker, 65, of Butler passed away April 9 at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born Feb. 23, 1947, in Butler, the son of the late Thomas A. and Martha (Lewis) Parker.

Charles was retired from the military, serving in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines. He had lived in California for many years.

Surviving are his loving companion, Angela Cantera of Butler; a stepson, James Caldwell of Butler; a brother, Robert (Sara) Parker of Renfrew; two sisters, Martha (George) Emerick and Anna Pearl Driver; two sons, Sonny and Jeffery; and two stepdaughters, Brenda and Sherry.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Honeycutt, and a brother, William “Red” Parker.
