COLLEGE NOTES

ALLYSON CRESS (Knoch), a member of the Clarion University women’s track and field team, placed second in the women’s discus with a throw of 125 feet, 3 inches at the PSAC Championships in Bloomsburg Saturday. She had placed seventh in the shot put in Friday’s action.•

JACK GRAHAM (Seneca Valley) had a pair of hits and a career-high three RBIs as Youngstown State defeated Butler University 9-7 in baseball action Sunday.•

MAX VICKERMAN (Seneca Valley) tossed his team-high fifth complete game as Grove City College dispatched St. Vincent 7-3 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday. Vickerman allowed just one earned run over seven innings with two strikeouts.•

BRANDON DURBIN (Seneca Valley) had a double and scored in Grove City College’s 7-3 victory over Saint Vincent, then went 2-for-3 and drove in a run in the Wolverines’ 4-3 loss in the nightcap.•

DYLAN BILKA (Seneca Valley) and

GARRETT SHAW (Knoch) placed 1-2 in the men’s pole vault for Penn State Behrend at the Mason Dixon Championships Sunday. Bilka won by clearing 4.75 meters while Shaw was runner-up at 4.40 meters.
