James M. Irwin

Irwin

James “Jim” M. Irwin, 79, of Venice, Fla., passed away peacefully Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.

He was born March 20, 1933, in Philadelphia to the late Donald Irwin and Jessie Dittrich Irwin.

Mr. Irwin was president of EMCO Food Service Systems, formerly CODE, Inc., in Pittsburgh where he retired from in 1992.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Coast Guard. Mr. Irwin was a member of the Lakeside Lutheran Church in Venice, Fla. His faith in Christ and his family were first in his life. He loved sports, especially football, and was a collector of many things.

Mr. Irwin is survived by his loving spouse, Tina, who he married on June 18, 1955; one son, David K. Irwin and his wife, Debi, (Cooper) Irwin of Boise, Idaho; one daughter, Karen I. Daum and her husband, David, of Butler; 10 grandchildren, Kaylie and Joshua Daum, and Hunter, Harrison, Charlotte, Benjamin, Carter, Christopher, Connor and Jordan Irwin; one brother, Edwin Irwin of Pittsburgh; five nieces; and four nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Mark D. and Michael G. Irwin, and two brothers, Donald and Howard Irwin.

<B>IRWIN</B> — There will be no public visitation for James “Jim” M. Irwin, who died Friday, March 30, 2012. Memorial services will be in Venice, Fla.Contributions may be made to the Lakeside Lutheran Church, 2401 S.
