Mary Thompson

Mary Rose Thompson, 93, of St. Barnabas in Gibsonia, formerly of Lawrence Avenue, Butler, passed away at midnight Saturday at St. Barnabas.

She was born Sept. 13, 1918, in New Castle, to the late Thomas Deep and Susan (Johns) Deep.

She was a member of the St. Anthony Antiochian Orthodox Church. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by one daughter, Esther McLaughlin and her husband, Eugene, of Butler; one son, Michael Thompson and his wife, Rebecca, of Butler; one granddaughter, Natalie Thompson; one great-grandson, Donovan Thompson; one great-grand-daughter, Irene Heinsberg; three sisters, Delores Ligon of Yuma, Ariz., Edith Klush of New Castle and Carol Prentice of Edinburg, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Thompson, who she married Sept. 10, 1937, and who passed away Feb. 23, 2000; one daughter, Geraldine Thompson; one grandson, Craig Thompson; three sisters; and two brothers.

<B>THOMPSON</B> — Friends of Mary Rose Thompson, who passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, will be received at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Services will follow immediately at 2 p.m. with the V. Rev.
