Doris Vivian Patterson
Doris Vivian Patterson, 88, of Butler, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Nov. 17, 1923, in Freeport, the daughter of the late Charles Roy and Lelia (Polliard) Otterman.
Doris was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Deaf Senior Citizens and was previously employed by Austin's Bleach in Mars.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vivian (Bruce) Groom of Petrolia and Mrs. Shirley (Joe) Cupec of Prospect; twin sons, James (Wendy) Patterson of Harrisburg and John (Kari) Patterson of Westminster, Md.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great- grandson due in August.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
