Robert M. 'Bob' Shultz
Robert M. “Bob” Shultz, 74, of Rochester, formerly of New Sewickley Township, passed away Sunday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Born April 2, 1937, in Sugar Creek Township, Armstrong County, he was the son of the late Wesber W. and Twila V. McEntire Shultz.
Mr. Shultz was a life-member of the Big Knob Volunteer Fire Department, New Sewickley Township, and a former member of the Sugar Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Economy Borough Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Pine Run Sportsman’s Club; was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to go camping with his family at his camps in Tionesta and Pymatuning. He loved farming and animals, especially his late Chihuahuas, Peppie and Pedro.
Mr. Shultz was a former rolling mill technician at Colonial Steel.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine M. (Guthrie) Shultz, who he married, Oct. 20, 1956; five children, Robert Dean Shultz of New Sewickley Township, Laurie Ann (Dale) Johnston of New Sewickley Township, Patty Jean (Robert) Himelsbaugh of Rochester, Richard William Shultz of Rochester Township and Ronald Dale (Barbara) Shultz of New Sewickley Township; two sisters, Marjorie J. Heilman of Florida and Ella Irene “Nine” Kepple of Leechburg; eight grandchildren, Matthew Dale (Natalie) Johnston, Jennifer Nicole (Nicholas) Thorn, Robert Dean Shultz Jr., Stephanie Ann Shultz, Jacob Alan Himelsbaugh, Samantha Mae Shultz, Ronald Dale Shultz Jr., and Haley Jo Himelsbaugh; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Matthew Johnston, Damian Matthew Shultz and Archer Liam Johnston; a brother-in-law, John Arthur Guthrie of Boardman, Ohio, and three sisters-in-law, Oma Bell Lynch of Greenville, Marilyn (Jim) Cumberland of Ford City and Eileen (Lon) Hovis of Butler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harmon William Shultz, and an infant sister, Baby Shultz.

Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Additional visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at St. Paul’s Community Church, 2167 State Route 268, Sugar Creek Township, Chicora, where funeral services will be at noon with the Rev. Randall Forester, officiating.
