Charles 'Cutty' Fusko Sr.
Charles “Cutty” Fusko Sr., 87, of Cabot, formerly of Tarentum, passed away Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born Oct. 30, 1924, in Tarentum, he was the son of the late Karol and Mary (Bursa) Fusko.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Purple Heart after being injured during the Battle of the Bulge.
He retired after 40 years from Allegheny Ludlum as a journeyman machinist.
He was a member of the Brackenridge American Legion and the VFW in Natrona Heights. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, golfing, fishing, going to camp and watching Steelers football. He loved going to family functions.
Surviving are his loving children, Chuck (Arlene) Fusko of Sarver, Carol (Mathias) Porter of Cabot, Cheryle (Andrew) Palahnuik of Chicago, Ill., Cynthia (Larry) Weyand of St. Paris, Ohio, Craig (Anna) Fusko of Lower Burrell, Thomas (Kim) Fusko of Mobile, Ala., and Richard (Kimberly) Fusko of Sarver; his grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Krynicki, Kent (Angela) Fusko, Kevin (Lori) Porter, Kimberly (Douglas) Sober, Mark Palahnuik, Kristy (Donald) Benson, Jeremy Weyand, Amanda Raybets, Ashlee Raybets, Alexis Fusko, Rachael (David) Ochoa, Lindsay (Mark) Corbett, Cameron Fusko and Maggie Fusko; 19 great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Wilma Fusko.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Jean Schoentag Fusko, who passed away Nov. 14, 2004, and his siblings, Stephen, Joseph and Frank Fusko, and Mary Zencuk and Elizabeth “Betty” Mariotti.
<B>FUSCO</B> — Friends and relatives of Charles “Cutty” Fusko Sr., who passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A blessing service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
