Richard E. “Jocko” Weigle, 65, of Perry Township, Parker, passed away late Wednesday afternoon at his home of natural causes.

Born in Butler, on Jan. 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Elmer and Cora Conway Weigle.

He was a 1965 graduate of Butler High School.

Jocko began a nearly 45- year career in 1967 with the former C&K Coal Co. in Clarion County, now RFI Energy, and was with the successors at the time of his death. He ran a bulldozer, was a drill operator and was a weighmaster with RFI Energy at Sligo at the time of his death.

He was a member of the West Freedom United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge of Limestone, N.Y., the New Castle Consistory and the Pine Hollow Road and Gun Club of Perry Township.

Jocko was known as an avid and patient hunter.

Surviving are his wife, Eva Victoria “Vicky” Holliday Weigle, who he married March 15, 1969; a son and his wife, Michael “Mike” (Julie) Weigle of Parker; a daughter and her husband, Bobbie Jo (John) Francis, of Clintonville; four grandchildren, Kayla Jo and Dylan Joel Thomas and Broc Michael and Cora Elizabeth Weigle; one sister and her husband, Debine “Deb” (Barry) Lutz of Arkansas; and his mother-in-law, Betty Holliday of Dutch Hill.

<B>WEIGLE</B> — Friends of Richard E. “Jocko” Weigle, who passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the West Freedom United Methodist Church, Route 368, West Freedom, near Parker, and at the church for an hour preceding the funeral service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Bessie Maihle, a retired United Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Perryville Cemetery, near Parker.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Camo Cares, Inc., Knox, Pa. 16232.Arrangements are entrusted to <B>H.
