Peter Burnett, 90, of Butler, formerly of Bellevue, passed away Thursday at VA Butler Healthcare.

He was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Henry Claude and Blanche (Scheifler) Burnett.

Pete worked as warehouse man for Williams and Co. in Pittsburgh. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II.

Pete was a member of the Pittsburgh Scottish Rite, the Syria Temple, the Syria Harige Clown Unit, the Islam Grotto, the Masonic Veterans, and the VFW 2754. He was past master of the Davage Lodge 374 that was later changed to Avalon Lodge 657.

He has no known survivors.

<B>BURNETT</B> — Friends of Peter Burnett, who passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the services at 4:30 p.m. Masonic services by the Avalon Lodge will be at 4:30 p.m. followed by military honors by VFW 249 and American Legion 778.
