William Lee Osborne

William Lee Osborne, 75, of Butler, passed away Thursday evening.

He was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Prospect, and was the son of the late William Francis and Elsie Leona Taylor Osborne.

He worked as a leadsman for Halstead's in Zelienople until it closed. Currently, he worked at Nappa Auto Parts Store in Butler.

Mr. Osborne was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He belonged to the Butler American Legion Post 778, Butler Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 249, the Hungarian Beneficial Social of Zelienople and the Harmony Moose.

Mr. Osborne enjoyed his family, friends and stock car racing.

He is survived by his three children, Duwayne L. Osborne of Tennessee, Lorie Frederick of Forestville and Sherri Osborne of Slippery Rock. He also is survived by five grandchildren, Richard Bodak, Stacy and Mason Frederick, Devin and Logan Hunt; and great- granddaughter Lillian Reed.

Five siblings also survive him, Robert Osborne of Meridian, Donna Rice of Prospect, John Osborne of Prospect, Wayne Osborne of Meridian and Dave Osborne of Prospect. His best friend, Grace Rotnour, survives him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Ella.
