Clifford Aggas

Clifford Aggas

Clifford Aggas, July 15, 1910 - March 26, 1994

A hard working man who loved his family, heritage, genealogy and traveling.

In 1796 Mrs. Thankful Aggas, a widow with sons, Sylvanus 11, and Abner 9, fled to Center Township, Butler County from Westmoreland County after her husband had been killed by the hostile indians.

Sylvanus (our line) stayed, married and tilled the soil, but Abner when he reach manhood joined the United States Forces and was never

heard from again.

In doing research on the internet in 2006, Abner did survive and settled in the mid-west, (never to come back to Pennsylvania) married and had children, which we have found.

Dad, if you were still here, you would be “On the Road Again” as you did in years past, looking up more of your family ancestors.
