Lavada Wiegand
Lavada G. Wiegand, 93, of Cabot, formerly of Sarver, passed away Saturday at her home.
Born April 28, 1918, in Sarver, she was the daughter of Matthew and Nellie (Blackburn) Montgomery, who are deceased.
Lavada was a graduate of Winfield High School. She retired from the dietary department at the South Butler School District. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Freeport Chapter 179. She enjoyed needlepoint, ceramics and gardening.
She is survived by her two loving sons, Bruce R. (Barbara) Wiegand of Sarver and Dean A. (Judy) Wiegand of Chocowinity, N.C.; her granddaughter, Jessica Wiegand of Kennapolis, N.C.; her grandson, Jordan (Victoria) Wiegand of Suffolk, Va.; three great-grandchildren, Katherine, Madison and Noah; and her sister, Verna McCrea of Rehoboth Beach, Del.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert C. Wiegand; her two sisters, Lola Fox and Dorothy “Peg” Sell, and her two brothers, Clifford Montgomery and Matthew Montgomery.
<B>WIEGAND</B> — Friends of Lavada G. Wiegand, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>FOX FUNERAL HOME</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. An Eastern Star service will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
