Frank Frederick Crimbchin

Frank Frederick Crimbchin passed away on Wednesday at his home in Cabot. He was 84 years old.

Frank was born on Feb. 5, 1928, to Kathryn Sonnett and Frances Frederick Crimbchin in McKees Rocks. He attended Saint Mary's Catholic School.

Frank began work as an apprentice machinist at Taylor Wilson's in McKees Rocks where he worked for many years and became a master machinist. In 1977, he founded Marwood Machine Co. in Cabot. He retired in 1988, and his sons carried on his work as master machinists.

Frank served in the Korean War from 1950 through 1952, where he met the love of his life, Ock Soon Lee. Ock Soon and Frank married in Seoul, South Korea, in 1953 and returned to the U.S. They raised their family in Coraopolis until 1973 when they moved to Cabot.

Frank and Ock Soon celebrated over 50 years of marriage in which he was a devoted and dedicated husband and father. They have seven children, 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ock Soon “Pega” Crimbchin; his sons, Donald J. and Mary Crimbchin of Butler and Frank J. and Dawn Marie Crimbchin of Cabot; and five daughters, William and Kathryn Schell of Irwin, Debbie and Chris Paine of Brunswick, Ga., Diane and Adrian Hunter of San Diego, Donna and Mark Schmidt of Honolulu, and Denise Mervis of Pittsburgh.

His grandchildren living throughout the U.S. are Donald Crimbchin of Butler, David Crimbchin and Heidi Talbott of Long Beach, Calif., Crystal Crimbchin of San Francisco, Pamela (Crimbchin) and Matthew McCarrier of Butler, Thom and Jamie Dunn of Cranford, N.J., Bethany (Dunn) and Donnie Friel of Pittsburgh, Joshua Paine of Brunswick, Ga., Rae Lee (Barkley) and Aaron Boag of Houston, Chonsa and Frank Schmidt of Honolulu, Heather and Emily Mervis of Pittsburgh, and Renee, Shannon, Kaitlyn, Hope and Hailee Crimbchin of Cabot.

Frank's great grandchildren are Alexandra and Noelle Friel, Amelia Jane Crimbchin, Charlotte Dunn, Om Elijah Reyn Johnson and Sophia June Duffan.

Frank has one niece, Jean Bateman, and one nephew, James Crimbchin.

He was predeceased by his brother, Don Crimbchin; son-in-law, Perry Barkley; his grandson, Jason Dunn; and various cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank Vitas Hospice for their kind and compassionate service and support during Frank's illness.

<B>CRIMBCHIN</B> — A private service for Frank Frederick Crimbchin, who passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Coraopolis and officiated by Pastor Rim. A celebration of his life will be arranged at his home in Cabot in the spring of 2012.Arrangements are under the direction of the <B>WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME</B>, Lawrenceville.
