Myrtle K. Hartz
Myrtle K. Hartz, 91, of Prospect died Sunday night at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 14, 1920, in Brady Township, and was the daughter of Charles Howard Gibson and Ella Louise Smith Gibson.
She was a lifetime resident of Prospect and a graduate of Prospect High School. She was a Protestant.
For many years, she and her husband were the proprietors of Roxy's Diner in Prospect. At one time she also worked at the Butler Country Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Charlene) Pinter of Findlay, Ohio, and Tracey Kniess and Jan Rizzo of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Amber Johnson and Davi Law of Ohio; three great-grandchildren, Katie, Bailee and Conner of Ohio; and one brother, C. Dale Gibson of Prospect.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, William Dean Kniess, who died in 1959, and Ambrose Hartz, who died in 2006; and two brothers.
<B>HARTZ</B> — Visitation for Myrtle K. Hartz, who died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home, </B>443 Main St., Prospect, and funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Lynn Callahan of the East Liberty Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery in Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice House, 146 Neely School Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
