LAS VEGAS — Firefighters are responding to a blaze in a 22nd-story guest room in the Golden Nugget hotel in downtown Las Vegas.

Fire Department spokesman Tim Szymanski says the 21st, 22nd and 23rd floors have been evacuated, but the fire appears to be mostly extinguished.

Las Vegas and Clark County crews responded to one of the hotel towers just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

No injuries have been reported. Sprinklers activated and helped stop the fire.

Szymanski says it appears the fire was confined to one room.
