William Carl Ihlenfeld, 73, of Butler passed away Saturday at his home.

He was born June 25, 1938, in Butler, the son of the late Robert J. and Florence Ermina Jacox Ihlenfeld.

Bill was a member of the First English Lutheran Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve, and he retired from Armco, now AK Steel, after 38Z\x years of service.

Bill enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling. He was an avid Steelers fan.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda K. (Gallagher) Ihlenfeld; a daughter, Sheri (Rodney) Dunkle of Butler; two sons, Daniel (Sharon) Ihlenfeld of Saxonburg and Michael (Bonnie) Ihlenfeld of Butler; two grandchildren, Zachary and Mikaela; one sister, Janet (Emerson) Miller of Lake Milton, Ohio; two nephews; and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

<B>IHLENFELD</B> — Friends of William Carl Ihlenfeld, who passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
