Firefighters are battling a house fire in the Highfield area of Lyndora.

The fire was reported about 1:30 p.m. at 103 Arlington Ave., which is near Highfield Road.

Officials called for that road to be closed, and they called for the fire marshal.

Also a garage was destroyed by fire late about noon at the residence of Ron and Alaina Wike at 131 Sunbury Road in Fairview.

Destroyed in the fire were two trucks, two boats, an all-terrain vehicle and a motorcycle.

The fire is out.
