HARRISBURG — A second day of deliberations by a Dauphin County jury failed to produce a verdict Friday in the corruption trial of former Pennsylvania House Democratic Whip Mike Veon. Deliberations will resume Monday.

The 55-year-old Veon and co-defendant Annamarie Perretta-Rosepink, the former manager of Veon’s district legislative office in Beaver Falls, are accused of misusing state grant money awarded to a nonprofit agency Veon ran.

They are charged with theft, conspiracy and conflict-of-interest.

Veon is already serving at least six years in prison on his 2010 conviction for using more than $1 million in taxpayers’ money for bonuses to reward legislative employees for campaign work.
