Nixon

L. Frank Nixon, 70, of Connoquenessing Township, died Tuesday evening at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Dec. 21, 1941, in Oregon, and was the son of Naomi Nixon.

He was a mechanic and operator for Union Local 66 in Pittsburgh. Frank was a professional tinkerer and could fix anything.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret J. “Peg” Robinson Nixon, who he married on Jan. 2, 1987; three daughters, Tammy Howell (Ernie) in Florida, and Chris Tharnish (Brad) and Colleen Mashburn, both of Gibsonia; a cousin, Mary Datt of Gibsonia; and eight grandchildren.

Frank Nixon, who died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
