Richard W. Nicholson, 91, of Valencia passed away Thursday morning at St. John's Specialty Care Center, Mars.

He was born on April 12, 1920, the son of the late Orvis and Frances (Holt) Nicholson.

He also is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary (Weissert) Nicholson, six brothers and two sisters.

Richard is survived by his two daughters, Fran Skomo and Jennifer Mihalyi; a stepdaughter, Judy Hemker; and four grandsons, Brad and Shawn Skomo and Michael and Matthew Hemker.
