Janet K. Hetrick
In loving memory of my mother, Janet K. Hetrick, who passed away ten years ago, February 28, 2002.
Ten long years and l still miss you so, Mommy!
I recall you telling me that on the day I was born, you held me tightly to you and waited for me to draw my first breath as I stared into your eyes.
The morning you left is still so vividly planted in my mind. I could see your strength leaving and you were fading, so I held you tightly to me as I waited for you to draw your last breath as you stared into my eyes.
We had come full circle! My best friend and confidant was gone. My tears still flow for you as I miss your earthly existence, but there are times of laughter when Benny and I reminisce about the wonderful memories you left us with.
I will always be grateful that God chose me to be your Daughter. As my Mother, you withheld the title honorably and showed the world exactly what a “Mommy” should be!
Along with Daddy and your son Billy, more family members have now joined you in Heaven, namely your sister Helen, daughter Noreen and grandson Mark. You must be so happy now that you are all reunited along with so many others that you loved.
When my times come, I will softly ask God, “If I must go now, please tell me my angel’s name!” I know He will reply, “You will call your angel... Mommy.”
You rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus knowing that you live in my heart!
