Delphia M. Isabella
Delphia M. Isabella, 88, of Wilson Avenue, New Castle, died Sunday at VNA Hospice House in Butler.
She was born Sept. 17, 1923, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Tomaso and Maria Zeppitella Tommelleo. She was married to the late Humbert H. Isabella, who died Feb. 2, 1968.
Mrs. Isabella was a clerk and stenographer 2, retiring after 27 years from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
She was a member of the St. Vitus Church and was active in the Ladies Guild and Choir and was a Eucharistic Minister at the church. She was also a member of Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed line dancing, bowling, cooking, baking and sports, especially baseball.
She is survived by three children, Salvatore “Sam” Isabella and his wife, Sandy, of New Castle, Mary Louise McHattie and her husband, Greg, of Butler and Donald J. Isabella and his wife, Ginny, of Mechanicsburg; one brother, Thomas Tommelleo of New Castle; two grandchildren, Richard and Ahlea Isabella; two step-grandchildren, Kristen Toland and her husband, Thomas, and Alex Keddie; and one step-great-grandson, Austin Toland.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Louis, Rocco, Tony and Arthur Tommelleo; two sisters, Lucy Rainey and Helen Toscano; and a granddaughter, Justine Isabella.

William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle, from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Vitus Church, New Castle, with Father Sean Francis of St. Vitus Church officiating.
