Richard Edward Kopp, age 70, died Friday at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Mr. Kopp was born in Ambridge, to the late Robert and Helen Kopp.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of AA, sober for 21 years. He also was a cancer survivor.

Mr. Kopp is survived by his wife, Dixie Lee Kopp; a son, Christopher Kopp of Virginia; a daughter, Heidi Hernandez of Maryland; a stepson, Dennis Gamble Jr. of Myrtle Beach; four stepdaughters, Tracy Lee Durst and Kelly Cribb of Myrtle Beach, Dawn Hoelizli of Pennsylvania and Laura Larrabee of Georgetown, S.C.; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Kopp of Florida and Joseph Kopp of Virginia.
