Earl J. 'Butch' Reith
Earl J. “Butch” Reith, 67, of Saxonburg died Saturday at his home.
Born Oct. 22, 1944, he was the son of the late Earl and Freida Cooper Reith. He was the husband of the late Melinda (Zacour) Reith, who he married April 12, 1986.
He attended Knoch High School where he was a star athlete. Butch was retired from the Carpenters Union where he was active in union negotiations. Earl was very active building street rods and in the street-rod scene, collecting antiques, traveling and camping.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelle (Jeihri) Robinson, of Napa, Calif., his son, Todd Reith and his fiance, Jen Michel, of Butler; and daughter, Sheila (Dan) DeWalt of Cabot; eight grandchildren, Chastity Wissinger, Frank Hartle, Ashley Hartle, Michael J. Michel, Daniel, Kendyl and Elijah DeWalt and Erynn Robinson; his sister, Janet (Gale) Morris of Cabot; and one brother, Vernon (Kim) Reith of Cabot.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Fay Reith and Judy Sipes; and his brother, Darrell Reith.
<B>REITH</B> — Friends of Earl J. “Butch” Reith, who died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Judd officiating.
