Thomas W. Hile, 64, of East Brady passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 17, 1947, in East Brady to Francis A. and Nell M. (Wilson) Hile.

He attended East Brady High School and enjoyed working on vehicles. He was the head of road maintenance for East Brady Borough for 25 years.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Joining in 1975, he was a lifetime member of the East Brady Volunteer Fire Department, and he served as chief for one year, and assistant chief for 20 years.

He is survived by one son, Michael T. Hile and his wife, Amanda, of Coraopolis; one sister, Elizabeth A. “Bunny” Heginbotham and her husband, Donald “Whitey,” of Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County; one stepsister, Barbara Coddington of Gettysburg; one half-brother, Tim Hile of Perry Township, Armstrong County; one niece, Lynnette R. Griffith and her husband, Brian, of Chicora; two great-nieces, Madison and Brooke Griffith; and one great-nephew, Tanner Griffith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Christopher; and one stepsister, Sandy Hicks.

HILE — Friends of Thomas W. Hile, who died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the

Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Pete Sapp, pastor of the Trinity Reformed Church, Bradys Bend, officiating.
