Isabell Schepp Smith, 81, of New Castle passed away Saturday morning at her home.

Born on July 17, 1930, in Brent, Pa., Isabell was the daughter of the late Luke and Laura Dostilio Schepp.

She married William H. Smith on Sept. 15, 1951. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2002.

Isabell was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church.

She worked as the head cashier at Loblaws in Butler, Greensburg and New Castle. In her earlier years, she had worked at Isaly's in Butler.

Isabell was a member of Challenges. She enjoyed line dancing, playing the lottery and playing cards with her sisters and friends. Isabell cherished the times she spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by two children, David W. Smith of Belmont, N.C., and Mark Smith and his wife, Bonnie, of New Castle; two sisters, Gloria DeProspero and Betty Jean Natale, both of New Castle.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Isabell was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony Schepp and Ernest Schepp, and three sisters, Alma Rainey, Helen Chiappini and Lucy Burnatoski.
