Students in Kristin Pierson’s third grade class in the Slippery Rock Area Elementary School were asked to write about what Valentine’s Day means to them. Here is what they say about this special day.To me Valentine’s Day means being nice to each other. Valentine’s Day means handing out candy. I think it means getting valentines and candy. Valentine’s Day means to share. On Valentine’s Day I like to play with my friends and spend time with my family. I love Valentine’s Day!

Morgaine Stach———Valentine’s Day means to spend a day with your family. It also means to give cards to people. I love Valentine’s Day. Valentines day means to share too. People love Valentines Day.

Tori Slater———Valentines day means choosing cards to give to people. My favorite kinds of cards are animal cards. last year I had dogs. This year I want cats. I always give out lollipops. I like Valentines day.

Becky Porter———Valentine’s Day means to give cards and cheer up people. It also means to get candy. I give my parents hugs and kisses. It is nice to get cards and candy also. I really like Valentine’s Day!

Christopher Tuel———Valentines Day means to me to spend time with my family. It is fun spending time with my family. I get treats from them. I like spending time with them so we can go out to eat!

Kaden Kopp———Valentine’s Day means friendship and love. I spend time with people I love and care about. I give flowers to my mom. I play with my dad too. Then I give cards to my friends and my brother, and sisters. I love Valentine’s Day do you?

Jermaine Summers———Valentines Day is about sharing stuff with your friends. Also you shouldn’t fight with your friends or your brother or sister. Valentines Day is a day of peace. You should give cards to your friends. I like to stay in my P.J.s all day long! Also I still like to spend time with my family. That is what I think Valentines Day is about.

Tamrin Peterman———Valentines Day means that I give cards to all my firends. I also make special cards for my mom and dad. I like to get and give candies. Then, my family and I eat dinner at my house.
