What Valentine's Day means to me
Students in Kristin Pierson’s third grade class in the Slippery Rock Elementary School were asked to write about what Valentine’s Day means to them. Here is what they say about this special day:Valentines means to me you spend time with the people you love. Giving a Valentine to someone and making them feel so filled whith joy. Valentines is about loving and caring for everyone. To me, Valentines Day is full of love when everyone has fun and spends time whith each other. My favorite part of Valentines Day is giving a Valentine to some one and watching there reaction how happy they are. That is what Valentines Day means to me.
Isabelle Don———Valentines Day is a very special to me. It is the day that we can be nice to each other. We also give things to very special people. It is a time to be happy. My family goes out to dinner on Valentines Day. We have parties at school. We have fun! I enjoy giving gifts to people. Especially my family. I enjoy seeing peoples faces when they get my gift. Valentines Day is special. What do you think?

I like to spend time with my grandma too because she does everything for me That’s what Valentines Day means to me.

Shayne Lindgren———Valentine’s Day mean to cheer up people. When I see someone sad I go see what’s the matter. Sometimes someone just needs a little company! When I’m sad my friends try to cheer me up. When someone has no friends I say “What’s your name? Do you want to be friend?” I would want to make someone’s day.
Zachary Corace———Valentines Day means to me to spend time with people who I love. We give nice little love gifs by giving cards to friends and family. To be nice and loving to each other. It is also about sharing things. Also, about being nice and kind. These are what Valentines Day are about.
Maryann Ackerman———It means spending time with my family. We play fun games together. We sit down altogether to eat. We give each other cards. Then we watch TV together then we all eat a dessert. We also get candy from each other. We get gifts. That is why I like Valentine’s Day.

Valentines Day is a day of loving, caring, and sharing. Not a day of being mean. Everyone spreading peace to the world. I love Valentines very much.
Allison Steiger———Valentines Day means to me to share love with one another. It also means to me to love others and not hate. My class celebrates Valentines Day by having a Valentines Day party. I sometimes give a Valentines Day gift to my friends. My friends sometimes even give me one too! Valentines, I think, is a great holiday! At parties on Valentines Day we get lots of candy. Sometimes I bring in a Valentines gift for my whole class! I hope you give or share stuff to friends, neighbors, brothers and sisters, even moms and dads. Maybe even you will get a Valentines from brothers, sisters, mom, dads and others. Spread your love around the whole world!
Reagan Soursa———Valentines Day is a special holiday to me. I think on Valentines Day people should send happines to one another. You should also send cards to family and friends. You should give presents to people you love. You could surprise them with something they wanted for Christmas but you didn’t get it for them. I like Valentines Day. It is a great holiday.
