St. Bonaventure won four singles matches en route to a 7-2 victory over Slippery Rock University in tennis action Sunday.

Sunday’s loss to the Division I Bonnies, which is coached by 1987 SRU graduate Michael Bates, was the first suffered in dual match action by The Rock (5-1).

Janelle Krantz and Samantha Bruggeman captured an 8-1 decision at No. 3 doubles but two Bonnies doubles wins gave them a team point under Division I rules.

Bruggeman also won at No. 6 singles and Lauren Coggins at No. 5 singles.
