BELLEFONTE — The former Penn State assistant football coach charged with child molestation is asking for court permission to see his grandchildren.

Jerry Sandusky's bail conditions forbid him from having contact with anyone younger than 18. Authorities say he sexually abused 10 boys during a 15-year span. Sandusky says he is innocent.

A motion filed by Sandusky's lawyer in Centre County court asks permission for his 11 grandchildren to visit his home, with parental accompaniment. Sandusky is under house arrest.

PITTSBURGH — The first section of roof on Pittsburgh's old igloo-shaped Civic Arena has fallen to the ground.George Boehm of Noralco Corp. says the demolition on Saturday went perfectly.Five similar demolitions of the 170,000 square foot roof are scheduled over the next few months at the former home of the Pittsburgh Penguins.The old arena's 28-acre site will be redeveloped. The Penguins plan a mixed-use development including retail, commercial and residential space.

MT. OLIVER — Authorities are investigating the stabbing death of a man just outside Pittsburgh.The Allegheny County Coroner’s Office says 31-year-old Kevin Maurice Hill of Mt. Oliver died of a stab wound to his neck early Sunday morning. They have ruled his death a homicide.Police have issued an arrest warrant and are searching for Donald Finnigan, 26, who they say is armed and dangerous.
