Diane Amundsen Walton

Walton

Our lovely mother and wife, Diane Amundsen Walton of Florida peacefully passed away with all of us by her side Thursday due to complications from pneumonia.

She was born July 10, 1934, in Chicago, Ill.

Diane received a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Illinois. She had her degree and was smart as a whip but chose to be a full-time mother and willingly gave her life to her children. She also felt drawn to give of her time and volunteered for organizations such as Candy Stripers, Meals on Wheels, Welcome Wagon, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Diane was never without a good book to read and she sat down at the piano whenever the spirit moved her. She was an avid bridge player, loved going to the movies and truly enjoyed hearing stories about her grandchildren. We will miss her dearly.

Diane is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Walton; three children, Bill Walton of Dallas, Texas, Bonnie (Charles) Rice of Butler and Lynda Walton of Warrington, Pa.; seven beautiful grandchildren; and two brothers, William Amundsen of Hilton Head, S.C. and Richard Amundsen of Atlanta, Ga.
