Galat

Shirley L. Galat, 76, of Franklin Township, Beaver County, passed away Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 15, 1935, in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of David M. and Elizabeth (Grados) Garee.

Mrs. Galat enjoyed growing flowers in her garden and spending time outdoors.

She is survived by two sons, David J. Galat of Texas and Gregory A. Galat and his wife, Vickie, of Ambridge; a daughter, Ann E. Wehman of Koppel; two sisters, Eva Eicher-Doran of Toms River, N.J., and Nancy Perine of Harmony; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Z. Galat, who died Jan. 5, 2005.
