JEFFERSON TWP — The Rock at Knoch battle of the bands takes place from 5 to 11:30 p.m. March 30 at Knoch High School. Applications from bands are being accepted. There is no entry fee.Application deadline is March 12, but bands will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. All band members must be younger than 21 on the date of the show.Bands will have 25 minutes of playing time. The Butler County Symphony Orchestra's next concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.The theme for the season is “A Night Of …,” and this concert will focus on “A Night of Song.” Guest conductor is Bruce Lauffer, one of the three conductors up for the symphony's top job. The featured soloist is tenor Michael Forest from the Metropolitan Opera. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
