Nick Suchy Jr.
Nick Suchy Jr., 95, of Lyndora died early Saturday morning at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1916, in Butler, a son of Nick and Eva Suchy Sr.
Nick was employed in maintenance at the Butler office of Mellon Bank for 36 years.
He was a member of the St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora. He enjoyed gardening and watching baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He was last surviving member of his immediate family as he was preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, Andy and Pete; and three sisters, Julia, Rose and Mary.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
SUCHY — Friends of Nick Suchy Jr., who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, will be received from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. His pastor, Abbot Leo Schlosser, will officiate.
