Dorothy Wood Kerry Dorcy Burns Petroski, 92, of Butler passed away Thursday evening at the Chicora Medical Center.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1919, in Butler, a daughter of Earl and Katherine McElroy Wood.

She is survived by one of two sons, Floyd D. Kerry Sr., and his four children, Floyd D. Kerry Jr., Carla J. (Kerry) Hillwig, Wayne A. Kerry, and Michele L. Kerry. Her late son, Donald John Kerry, passed away in 1999, and is survived by his wife, Betsy Kerry, and their two children, Donald J. Kerry Jr. and Donna M. (Kerry) Fend. In total, she is survived by 13 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was employed by the Butler Packing Co. and later at the International Stapling Co. for 38 years, after which she retired.

Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.St. Paul’s Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite the Rosary.
