Sarah Eleanor Miller, 89, of Coylesville, living with her daughter in Erie, passed away Wednesday.

She was born in Wellsburg, Va., on March 21, 1922, the daughter of the late John and Maude McGrady.

Sarah was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She worked in the school cafeteria for Clearfield Township. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and crossword puzzles.

Sarah’s greatest joy was being married to her husband Irvin Miller for 67 years until his passing in 2010. She also was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Miller.

Sarah is survived by her daughter, Shirley Bolam and her husband, David, of Erie; three grandchildren, Sherry Brinager, Thomas Swigart (Beth) and Selena Dufala (David); six great-grandchildren, Zachary and Haley Dufala, Tom and Jessica Swigart and Sara and Alex Brinager; dear friends Larry, Donna, Jeffrey, Joseph, Jennifer and Justin Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.
