Elinor L. Shoaf, 81, of Zelienople died Saturday at the Creek Meadows Senior Guest Haus in Zelienople.

Born July 26, 1930, in Ronco, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Nick and Helen (Mattis) Javorsky. Mrs. Shoaf was a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, Zelienople.

She worked for Gateway Manufacturing for nine years and retired from Paragon Warehouse in Harmony after 19 years.

Mrs. Shoaf was a member of the Zelienople Silver Sneakers, and she enjoyed traveling with her husband, taking more than 45 bus excursions. She was family oriented, a great cook and loved preparing many delicious holiday meals and picnics. Her greatest joy was caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Shoaf, who she married on Oct. 31, 1957; four children, Eugene V. (Beth) Shoaf of Harmony, Rita M. (Joe) Deutsch of Evans City, Darryl E. (Sharon) Shoaf of Evans City, and Ronald N. Shoaf of Zelienople; a brother, John Javorsky of Freeport; two sisters, Elaine Oros of Carmichaels, Pa., and Gloria Pena-Quezada of Palm Desert, Calif.; five grandchildren, Jenna Lawson, Sarah Lawson, Mandy Lawson, Brian Shoaf and Evan Shoaf; and three great-grandchildren, Mason Richards, Clayton Wellington and Colton Lawson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Bartley.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with Father William Dorner, officiating.
