GE to expand in Grove City

GROVE CITY — GE Transportation will be investing $72 million into its Grove City site, part of which will be used to create a new facility and bring in 150 new jobs.

Currently, the Grove City plant, which manufactures diesel locomotive engines, has 850 employees.

GE is investing $35 million to establish a new remanufacturing facility in nearby Pine Township.

Stephan Koller, a GE spokesman, said the facility will be necessary due to an increasing demand.
