Santa is very busy this week, doublechecking his list, getting the reindeer ready for flight and finishing toys for all the good boys and girls.

Even with his busy schedule, Santa wants to make sure he talks to all the children who visit him at the Clearview Mall.

To get presents this year, Santa said children must not fight with their brothers and sisters and should give their moms and dads lots of hugs.

“Just enjoy the Christmas season,” said Santa.

Santa likes to have fun making toys with the elves and showing off his reindeer.

He also enjoys long winter naps and wearing his warm red suit made by Mrs. Claus.

Santa's very favorite thing to do during Christmas is visit all the children.

“Just having fun with the kids and seeing the joy in their faces,” said Santa.

Santa took a break from hearing what the children want for Christmas to share a little more about the man behind the beard.

QUESTION: What is your favorite part of Christmas?ANSWER: The kids. They are pure, they're innocent, they're happy and they are fun.

QUESTION: Who is your favorite reindeer?ANSWER: Now, if I tell you one the other eight are going to get mad at me. (But) we'll say Rudolph. He's the most mischievous of them all.

QUESTION: How do you know who's been naughty and nice when they come to see you?ANSWER: Santa's got a good knee and a bad knee. The good kid always sits on the good knee and the bad kid always sits on the bad knee.

QUESTION: What do you do the day after Christmas?ANSWER: Sleep. People don't realize that Santa leaves on Dec. 23rd. When it's the 23rd here, it's the 24th in China, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. So for me to be here on Dec. 24, I have to be down there on the 24th.

QUESTION: What does Santa want for Christmas?ANSWER: A vacation to an island in the Caribbean.BJ McTighe, 73, of Summit Township has been helping Santa for 19 years at the Clearview Mall.
