TOYS FROM THE SALVATION ARMY

More than 1,000 toys were distributed to 450 children by the Salvation Army in December 1979. Cadet Denise Carpenter, assistant officer, presents a gift to Sharon Roxberry, 3, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Roxberry of Butler R.D. 4. About 200 families also received certificates to buy food at grocery stores. Money for the gifts was collected though The Salvation Army Christmas Appeal and the Red Kettle Effort.
