KANE, Pa. — Officials say a part-time police officer lost control of his pickup truck before it smashed into trees and overturned, killing him, his father and a friend in northern Pennsylvania.

Authorities say 25-year-old part-time Baden police Officer Andrew Snarey of Aliquippa was driving the vehicle early Saturday in McKean County. He died, along with his father, 60-year-old George Snarey of Carnegie, and his 28-year-old friend Jeffrey Kramer of McDonald.
