Summit Township man jailed on arson charge
SUMMIT TWP — A township man faces several charges after state police allege he deliberately set a fire in his home.
James Speicher, 54, is charged with causing or risking a catastrophe, recklessly endangering another person and arson.
The fire broke out at 126 Schiebel Road about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, according to police.
The police report indicates a 48-year-old township woman was in the house at the time, but did not say whether she was injured.
There was no information about how serious the fire was.
Speicher is in Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
