The Moniteau Warriors earned a 39-12 victory over Oliver on Friday night in Pittsburgh to claim a spot in the PIAA Class AA football quarterfinals.

Quarterback Kyle Armagost fired four touchdown passes in the second quarter in the win.

Moniteau (12-0) will play the WPIAL champion, either Aliquippa or Jeannette. A date and time has not been set for the game.

In Erie, Grove City whipped Cathedral Prep of Erie in Friday’s District 10 Class AAA championship game.

The Eagles ran their usual ground attack and forced five turnovers in a 33-0 blanking of Cathedral Prep at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

With the win, Grove City (11-0) will face the WPIAL champion, which will be the winner of the Knoch-Montour game, at a date, site and time to be determined.
