Matthew Kraemer will serve as guest conductor for Butler Symphony Orchestra's “A Night of Joy” concert on Dec. 3.

The Butler County Symphony Orchestra presents its always popular holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Butler Intermediate High School Auditorium.

The theme for this season is “A Night of ...,” and this program will feature “A Night of Joy.” The program will present many traditional holiday pieces and include a singalong.

Matthew Kraemer will conduct the orchestra. Currently serving as resident conductor of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Kraemer is one of three guest conductors this season vying for the job to lead the symphony permanently.

The Slippery Rock University Concert Choir, under the direction of Stephen Barr, will be the featured performer.

Music will include “A Canadian Brass Christmas,” “Fantasia on Christmas Carols,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Joy to the World.”

The symphony association will have its annual basket auction, with winners announced after intermission.
